Arriving…Here…

It took me a few days to get here.
Not physically…though my body has been moving through its own rhythms and rituals, but here… the inside place. The space where I can sit, listen, and simply be.
Calmly. Quietly. Contentedly
.
I forget sometimes that “getting here” isn’t an instant arrival. You don’t just drop your bag, light a candle, and, “poof” your nervous system is regulated and your soul is humming. No… It’s a slow unfurling. A huge exhale.
It’s walking past the to-do list without making eye contact.
It’s letting the world spin without your constant steering.
It’s noticing the edges of your restlessness soften, until almost miraculously…you realize you’ve landed.
Here.
And here feels different. Here, my breath is longer. My shoulders aren’t holding the weight of everything. My mind isn’t galloping ahead. I can listen, not just with my ears, but with my whole being.
This is where I remember that listening isn’t always about receiving words. Sometimes it’s listening to the stillness. The whisper of my own inner knowing. The way the wind moves through the trees..
We think we need to “make time” for this. Schedule it. Earn it. But maybe the real work is to allow it…to stop grasping for it like something out there and let it rise naturally, like the morning light.
If you’re in the middle of the messy in-between right now… if you’re not quite here yet… let this be your permission:
Take your time.
Drop the urgency.
And trust that the moment you’re ready to arrive, your soul will open the door.
Until then…let yourself rest in the knowing that here is waiting for you. Always.
Peace and hugs💜
